Greenfield Valley Heritage Park

These 70 acres of industrial history are now a Heritage Park, Museum and Farm. They offer a fantastic day out for all the family.
Historically the Greenfield Valley was a busy place employing hundreds of people in both its copper factories and cotton mills.   Three lakes run down the valley and  are now more used to ducks and the sound of bird song than the noise of heavy industry.  The Museum and Farm are a collection of old buildings re-created to give the visitor a sense of history, and the animals are always a hit with the children.   There are  four parts to the park: Fishing (a charge applies), Museum and Farm (Ticket entry), Heritage Site (Basingwerk Abbey) and a café providing teas and snacks.  There is a full programme of events throughout the year.   Click to the website alongside for further information or follow this link to see the full calendar of events.

The Greenfield Valley Heritage Park and its focal points, the Museum and Farm, are owned by Flintshire County Council and managed by The Greenfield Valley Trust Ltd, a registered charity. The Trust was established in 1992 from the Greenfield Valley Volunteers Association.
